Thymus Gland Bioregulator Complex

Crystagen (Glu-Asp-Pro) is a synthetic tripeptide bioregulator targeting thymic tissue with a specific focus on restoring thymic microenvironment gene expression. The thymus undergoes progressive involution (shrinkage and fatty replacement) beginning at puberty, reducing naive T-cell output by 95% between ages 20 and 65. This thymic involution is arguably the single most significant driver of immunosenescence. Crystagen targets the thymic epithelial cells that form the stromal microenvironment, aiming to preserve their function and slow the involution process.

1. Crystagen modulates thymic epithelial cell gene expression, upregulating chemokines (CCL21, CCL25) that recruit T-cell progenitors from bone marrow to the thymus.
2. Delta-like ligand 4 (DLL4) expression on thymic epithelium is supported, maintaining the Notch signaling required for T-cell lineage commitment.
3. MHC Class II molecule expression on medullary thymic epithelial cells is normalized, preserving negative selection efficiency and self-tolerance.
