SNAP-8 (Acetyl Octapeptide-3) is the most advanced member of the “topical neuropeptide” class of cosmeceutical actives. It works by competitive inhibition of the SNARE complex—the same molecular machinery targeted by botulinum neurotoxin, but through a fundamentally different and reversible mechanism.
